TED – stands for Technology, Entertainment and Design. It’s an annual conference that brings together some of the brightest thinkers in the world together. These thinkers and doers are challenged to give the talk of their lives (in 18 minutes). The result – some of the most fascinating talks on technology, entertainment, design, science, culture and business.

The best part is that, all these presentations can be viewed online or downloaded onto your iPod of desktop from the website for free. More than 200 talks are now available including Al Gore’s latest talk on climate change. TED presents an excellent way to pass time and learn something in the bargain.
